Do you remember the Hummer? Gas guzzlers were popular for a while, but that was years ago. Now the brand is making a comeback as GMC relaunches the Hummer as an all-electric super truck.

Recently, I took a look at the prototype vehicle that is circling the country for potential customers to find out.
“People love trucks, but we have to do it with zero commitment,” explained General Motors’ Shauna Sichi.
With a big truck like this, you might be wondering “where do I fill it?” But with this car, that’s actually where do I plug it in? The 1,000 horsepower truck will travel 350 miles on a full load. With a quick charge, GMC says you’ll be able to get 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Inside, the styling resembles a big, sturdy truck. Still, there are a ton of high-tech touches, like two giant screens to control just about every aspect of the car.
“It has a very lunar design, so it feels very futuristic,” Sichi said. There’s even a hidden moon boot print on the driver’s side.
Unique features include a crab drive mode: “You go sideways,” Sichi explained.
The rear and front wheels can move diagonally to help you maneuver over difficult terrain. There is also a bottom shield to help protect the battery in harsh conditions. Air suspension gives you an additional 6 inches of lift at the front of the vehicle to overcome larger obstacles.
Ah yes, the Hummer EV will be able to go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds!
“It’s for people who want a very amazing, high-performance, high-performance road vehicle,” Sichi concluded.
This is a potentially powerful new electric vehicle that lives up to the Hummer name. He may not be thirsty for gas anymore, but he seems just as hungry for adventure.
Keep in mind that this is a prototype, so things may still change. The Hummer EV will go into production next year and launch in 2022 for $ 112,595.
